Letting Them See The Darkness!

“When it gets so bad that you feel nothing, not even fake smiles can reassure the people it had once reassured.

When they begin to notice white and pink scars that were never on the plain canvas to start with.

When they see the lack of hope every time eye contact is made and the darkness consuming the bottom of the eyes.

When they notice the loudness of the silence that follows

When they begin to hear the pain clinging onto every word said.

Maybe then, will they see. Maybe then, will they understand. Maybe then, they will TRY.”

Oneness
Me I
Mind and soul
Love and beauty
Loveing me
Loving self
Self empowerment
But spirit does not stop humanity

Angery
Painful
Memories
Sleepless nights
But love peace trquillity will conquer all

Already love this thread!! Prepare to receive all my rubbish poetry! :D

To see the child fall, but not want to see the cut.
To hear the cry for help, but not want to mess things up.

To want to do something, anything, but be paralysed,
by fear of pouring water onto an oil fire.

This is how we let those we love burn.

To feel

To feel the kiss of cold, shiny silver
And the sensation of dropplets racing each other down your body, like rain so often does against windows of all shapes and sizes.
To feel burning hot
Like a fire wrapping itself around anything within its reach.
Like the dark, mysterious, sad shadows
That follow you closely, consuming all that’s light in your world, leaving nothing but darkness. A darkness that hurts.

:Caragh:

Will add to it!

image
How I feel about myself how the past always seems to catch up to me

Image
Letting unimportant people from the past dictate how you feel about yourself

Image
Trying to face your past analyse and understand so that you may move on

Image
When you see young woman putting make up on nowing they do not need it

Image
Stop letting the past dictate your precent

Image
Stop covering your scars with make up because your scars may be another person's strength

Image
seeing your scars may show another person what you lived through and give them hope that they survive the same

Scars

Scars
Their the things that show you how strong you are

Scars
Their the things that remind you what you have lived through and how you have survived

Scars
Their the things that show you how strnag
can be and how strong you will always be

Scars
Do not run away from your scars do not run away from thoughs who gave them to you be grateful to them because the scars they gave you showed you how strong you are

Scars
Are not things that dictate your humanity do not be embraced to cry over your scars they are things that remind you deserve happiness

Scars
Are things that remind you deserve peace and tranquillity!

Drowning

a throbbing sensation takes over my body.
waves of nauseating pains drowns me, dragging me down deeper each time.
pins and needles greet me as I lay.
constant unbearable pain consumes me and my everyday life, exhausting me, suffocating me.
I'm drowning.
I'm drowning.
depression flows through my veins. deafening me, taunting me.
sitting on my stomach, killing me slowly.

I actually logged in thinking I'd like to read some more poetry from you guys, thanks for posting this!

It's a really interested piece. It seems like you've combined all the things you're going through into one lingering image. A slow, sinking emotion that stays with me after reading, I'm impressed you managed that with eight short lines.

Here's a quick first draft. I make no promises of quality, I'm literally writing it straight to the forum xD

Slow Sundays

Listless, wandering,
I lounge in my room.
So much time to do
what needs to be done.

Books fall off the shelves,
and land on the boxes.
My earthquake rattles
the piles of trash.

Mum calls up,
I damn her unfairly,
for taking the time
I was wasting already.
