why do people struggle to understand Autism ? I feel I am alone in this x

You may feel alone, but there’s others out there. Dealing with the same things as you. We just have to stick together, defend and help each other to get our voices heard.

People struggle to understand autism because those people don’t know what we deal with on a day to day basis they only get told what people tell them. And there’s so many different levels of autism. Some people with autism love loud noises, and some hate loud noises. Some like a particular smell, and some hate anything that smells.
